About Us
Hsinchu County Police Bureau (HCPB) is headed by a Commissioner, who is also assisted by two deputy commissioners and a chief secretary in enforcing policing policies. The first level of the organization is made of thirteen sections, three offices, two centers and ten field units.
Thirteen sections includes Administrative Affairs Section, Public Order Section, Training Section, Foreign Affairs Section, Logistics Section, Public Security Section, Prevention and Control Section, Forensic Science Section, Internal Affairs Section, Public Relations Section, Secretariat Section, Information Management Section, and Legal Affairs Section. Personnel Office, Accounting Office and Civil Service Ethics Office also play essential roles in the bureau’s administration. The Command and Control Center, the communication hub between the patrolling officers, receives emergency calls 24/7. The Civil Defense Operations Center, on the other hand is assumed to operate as the command center in case of a national crisis.
Apart from the administration units above, the HCPB has ten field units, including one corps (the Criminal Investigation Corps), four brigades (Traffic Police Brigade, Special Police Brigade, Juvenile Delinquency Prevention Brigade, and Woman and Children Protection Brigade), and five precincts (Zhubei Precinct, Zhudong Precinct, Xinhu Precinct, Xinpu Precinct, and Hengshan Precinct). Each precinct is supervised by a Commanding Officer, and can be further divided into police stations/substations. The HCPB currently has a total of fifty two police stations, which are closely connected to every community in the county.
